Ms.Delgado

Mrs. Delgado has been a founding member of Lennox Math Science and Technology since it's inception in 2003. Not only has she been teaching Martial Arts since 1994, but she also hold credentials in Physical Education, Mathematics and Social Science. She started teaching Introduction to Engineering Design in 2013 and since then has become a Presidential Award for Excellence in Math and Science Teaching Finalist for California in 2019 and is the Awardee For the Northrup Grumman Award for Excellence in Engineering Teaching. She has also had the distinct honor of being one of the few exceptional people in the nation invited to the NSPTO Summer Teacher Institute program class of 2017. She has been the advisor for Athenaia since 2018.

Social Media Team

Daliah Melgar

I am a Senior this year joining LMSTA’s GBLA team. I am one of the heads in the social media team, where I will be working with other team members to promote our club and our project that will make a change in our environment. I joined GBLA because I think it is a great environment, to be able to surround myself with other girls who also want to work towards a common goal and make change.

Judith Bonilla

I am a freshman, and a part of the social media team. I decided to join GBLA because it’s important for girls to show what we can do to help our Earth. To me, it’s a big deal. I’ve never been part of a club similar to this before, so going into high school, I decided to experience new things.

Outreach Team

XIMENA GONZALES

I am a sophomore, part of the outreach team and I joined because I heard that it was a fun experience and a lot of things to help others out were being done. While I'm a part of this I hope I can make a change or impact someone to better our community.

MONTSERRAT GOMEZ

I am a freshman at LMSTA and I am part of the outreach team. I joined GBLA because it sounded like it was a great opportunity for me to try new things. Also, it gave me an opportunity for me to try to make a change in some sort of way.

YAIRED CARMONA

I joined GBLA to be able to practice the skills I gained in my core classes as well as gain experience in the engineering field. I am very passionate about engineering, especially when it comes to helping the environment or furthering the use of technology in medicine.

EMILY GALINDEZ

I am a freshman, I am also part of the outreach team, I joined because I think it would be a great opportunity to try something new. Also, it’s something I’ve always thought of trying these types of things so that I can put my part in helping our environment.

MARIANA GOMEZ

I am a sophomore on the team, head of the outreach team and email facilitator. I joined GBLA because I want to be part of a small group with a big goal to better the community. Helping the environment is something I am very passionate about being that we must take care of it since it takes care of us.

Engineering team

Sofia Diaz

I am a sophomore at LMSTA and part of the Engineering Design team. I joined GBLA to have a better view on the engineering field through a woman's perspective. I had prior interest in engineering before joining GBLA and I hope that with continuing with this club I can gain more knowledge in what engineering path I want to take in the future.

Kary Cabrera

I am a senior at Lennox Mathematics Science Technology Academy and an aspiring electrical engineer. I am a verteran team member of Girls Build LA and head of the engineering team. Additionally, I have past experience as a programmer, website designer, and researcher from previous GBLA competitions.

Jennifer Osorio Haro

Hi, I'm Jennifer Osorio Haro, I am a senior at Lennox Academy and part of the Engineering team, where I will be helping build the final product. I joined GBLA because I wanted to make a change in the community and help people as much as I can.

Andrea Castillo

I am a junior on this years GBLA team, part of the website team.This is my second year in the program and rejoined because my previous experience at this program was amazing. I hope this year we are able to help make an impact and help reduce our damage done to our planet.

Rebecca Melendez:

I am a junior at LMSTA and am part of the graphic design team. This is my first year joining GBLA. I joined because it was a chance to be a part of a team willing to solve solutions for our world.

Jovanna Rojas

I am a sophomore, part of the GBLA team and part of the graphic design team. One of the reasons I joined this club was because I heard it’s a fun hands on project and it is a great way to help out our community. Joining the GBLA was also a good way to learn how the community works and is able to improve for the better.

Emily Santos

I am a sophomore apart of the website team. I joined GBLA because my experience last year was so much fun and impactful. This year I hope we can make a lasting and beneficial impact on our environment.

Sharo Perez

I am a sophomore, head of the website team. The reason why I decided to join GBLA is because last year I had so much fun and I had an amazing experience. This year I hope that the project that we work on will really make an impact on our community and our lives. I am looking forward to all the events and projects that we will be having.
